Cannabinoids in Chronic Pain

University of Victoria Continuing Education in-person lecture regarding the use of medical cannabis in the management of chronic pain. This interactive presentation will include the history of cannabis therapeutics along with the discovery of the endocannabinoid system and the utilization of plant cannabinoids for various conditions. A review of the research on medical cannabis and treatment of pain will also be explored along with different strains, dosing and modes of administration. Potential side effects, drug interactions and contraindications will be discussed as well as a consensus guideline approach to managing chronic pain with relevant examples of practical applications.
